    Photo classes?

    Hello all,

anyone know of a photo class for beginners?
I bought myself a canon 400d, and can dabble with it but would love to learn how to use it to the extent of its abilities.

    thanks

You may want to check Gulf Photo Plus
Dubai International Art Centre as well.

I have checked those out, and had even registered for a class once (though I had to cancel at the last minute).
However, most of those classes seem to be aimed at people who know at least a little about photography.

I am really looking for beginner stuff.

So let me rephrase my question: is there anyone here who has a Canon 400d, knows how to use it, and has the patience to go over with me over a week end sometime?

It would be greatly appreciated :-)

Join EmiratesMac Apple User Group, bring your camera to a meeting, I'm sure someone wouldn't mind helping you out.

I think you can probably teach yourself a lot of the technical aspects of photography by trial and error. I think your better off shooting lots of pictures and seeing which ones work, develop your own style.

If you want to take a class that will help you in the photography business you should take a business/marketing class. Often the most successful photographers are not the best photographers artistically or technically, but they are successful at marketing. Getting the clients is the name of the game.
