Noticed that alot of MBPs are

being sold. In the want to sell section. There are 3 ads on the home page, I was wondering why everyone thinks that happens, as opposed to say a MacBook or iMac?

True.
Interesting.

I wonder, are they switchers that gave up or is there something else?
One thing about the MBP is that it is big (even though it is only 200 grams heavier than the MB)
People get taken away with how beautiful it looks, and think I want the best.
Not knowing that the best also means the most appropriate.

While I don't know the specific reasons behind those sales...

One could argue that the MBP is geared towards power users or, heh, Pros. Both of which tend to have a significantly shorter ownership life-cycle.

I dont know... Im more leaning towards fangpyre's reasoning.

A new trainee (who I just turned into a switcher, THANK YOU!) went out and bought a MBP even though when describing his needs he didnt need much more than the entry level macbook.

That might be it, oh its pretty, oh I WANT the best! then its oh... this is huge for a notebook.

Though That should also apply to the top of the line iMacs shouldnt it? and I dont see many f those being slod.

Or do people just prefer notebooks? I know I dont.

A lot of people DO prefer notebooks over desktops.
Especially if the notebook will do the job.

However, if you buy an iMac it won't get in the way, even if it too much (unless you put it into a really small place).
But an MBP is big, and if you don't need the extra power, you are taxed for that burden, with no benefit.

But I'm hoping Hanzo is correct.
I'd feel better with the thought that people are selling it after taking their full use out of their machines.

It could also be a lot of users are anticipating a new design for the MBP?
