| Nikon is also a very popular brand. When it comes to colors and their representation, it's a highly subjective matter, as is whether it's comfortable. Ask different photographers and they'll tell you different things. Welcome to the site. |

| I won't try to sway you either way, which will make this pretty useless, but I will try to get you away from the D60. The problem with these lower end models, and not so much a problem as it is an annoyance, is that they are auto focus, but only if you buy the auto focus lenses. I started shooting with a D40X, which was incrementally upgraded to the D60. I shot with the lens it came with for a few months, but then wanted to expand. I found out that lenses with the auto focus capability could run hundreds of dollars more than the normal lens with the same specifications. I chose to shoot with a lens that required manual focus and I didn't mind that, until I started finding myself in situations where I wanted to shoot quickly, like I would with a point and shoot. So 6 months after buying the D40X I started looking at upgrading, because it is nice to have the auto focus when you want it. I can highly suggest the D300 now. I can't see upgrading the body any time soon. |
