| Review “Hands on Eee PC” Finally, I had the chance to play with this tiny laptop. I liked few things, and disliked others. Honestly, I didn’t know its that much small, the screen is less than 7”, but when you read a document or surf the web, that screen is really very small, and could hurt your eyes. The price is very good and affordable. This “PC” is very cheap compared to anything, even to mobiles. It costs around 1400 Dhs, cheaper than my mobile! I tried the Windows XP, and the Linux versions. Screen resolution is 640*480, increasing the resolution will make your screen scrollable, which is a real pain when you are reading. What I hated the most about this laptop is the lack of usability, at least for me. Using 512 MB of memory, and 20 GB of storage, this laptop has very few applications. The other point is, Microsoft will stop shipping XP by the end of June, so will Asus rebuild their Eee to run Vista or it will become limited to Linux? |
