New thread not showing

i tried to start a new thread in "Want to Sell" cuz im selling my black macbook, after i clicked post, it told me that the most had been sent to the moderator and will be visible after the moderator has approved of it. its stil not visible after quite a while. any ideas?

Simple, certain words and phrases are automatically flagged by the system and if found post is held in moderation. We get to these posts as soon as we can.

You can try to sell a PC.
It'll show up instantly.
Probably in the trash folder of the forum.

That explains it, many Mac users now have Windows installed on their machines. Half Mac half PC!?

If you are using a Mac with Windows to make the post.
It would probably show up in the trash, cuz the server only sees Windows.
But it will look really good.

Sorry you just have to be patient. We get to it when we can. We run this site on our own time, without any payment, so don't expect 24/7 immediate service

At some point perhaps someone can be paid some to monitor and take care of the site, but not sure how that's going to happen financially. We're glad the site is important to all of you and by the day it's increasingly a nice place to hang out for all kinds of things, and that amazes me all the time. But with that obviously comes expectations, which are sometimes hard to meet. But that's more my problem than yours really...

my day doesn't pass if i dont come onto emiratesmac atleast 2ice in the day

even if i dont have anything to contribute many times. your doing an exceptional job btw

Thanks, but it's not just me though, the small team that helps out is really great.
