| I'm assuming you all know I love cars. Started modifying cars when I was 17, Nine years ago. After a LONG time, a lot of money, and many many long nights (because it's too hot to work on a car in the UAE when the sun is up) I finally got my car on a dynamometer. When I bought her just over 2 years ago she had 340 horse power. She clocked in a 464.5 horsepower today. an increase of 124.5 hp. To put that in perspective (Since I dont even think Sarah, someone who has to deal with this craziness, really gets) A Lamborghini Gallardo makes 520 hp A Ferrari 430 makes 490 hp. My car goes here in this list with 464 hp A Corvette Makes 430 hp A Porsche GT3 makes 415 hp A Ferrari 360 makes 400 hp A Porsche 911 Carrera Makes 355 hp A Porsche Cayman makes 295 hp I'm way too excited, and phase 3 of my plans are already in place. she should hit 550 hp by January... As long as I dont blow the engine up like my last car. The dyno chart: ![]() |

| Realistically? Sit the car at home and marvel at it. But I do enjoy a street race every now and then (Scared th ebejeezies out of a BMW M3 2 nights ago) I was actually thinking of participating in the Dubai Autodrome Drag Race comps in the Street category, V8 all motor class.) We'll have another Emirates Mac car at the races! lol. This is kind of like metal music... or Macs, once its in your blood, its kind of hard to let go. I, with an extra pair of hands, ordered, followed, called the states when the parts were lost by UPS, emailed, and called again when Aramex lost them by ourselves. We installed the CAI, Catback (Funny story here, it didnt fit as I liked, Instead of sending it out to an exhaust shop, I smacked the hanger with a hammer, bending it a bit to make it fit. easy!), Headers, front suspension (A shop had to instal the rear ones, I couldnt figure it out WITH the instructions) front swaybar (Again, the rear one a shop did, too much hassle) I also installed the diagnostics computer, the tuning computer, and dyno tuned her myself. The heavy stuff, the racing cam and heads there is no way a hobbiest can do. Those were professionally installed. Im not a mechanic, and this was MAJOR car surgery. I also swapped the injectors when I didnt like the power curve (It helped) and installed the HIDs (these take like 20 minutes btw, if anyone is thinking of getting HIDs) I soiled 2 kandooras (beyond the capability of a washiing machine to wash it and also like 2 t shirts and my favorite track pants. Sadly, anything new from now on will be even more technical than the heads/cam, so I wont really be able to do much. :-( | |
