Wow! HTC Diamond! = iPhone Killer? Some do think so, and aside from the flimsy OS, I'd have to agree. I would buy this. Can HTC's touchscreen Diamond outshine the iPhone? : Ben Patterson : Yahoo! Tech

It has a nice design, but offers little else. There are a few superficial OS changes. I love Apple, but I don't understand how they can have a monopoly on great design and common sense. One thing that drove me crazy about WinMo is that incoming calls show up in a miniscule pop-up screen, wasting massive screen space. Why?!!! If I were in the business, I would offer a magnifying glass as an extra option.

Well, it has some really good features, touchscreen with a GPS, well thats cool but using windows mobile!!! mmmm thats a very large con!!, dont u think so? i mean its still windows, do u guarantee no BSODs!! i won't!! Sony Xperia will be launched soon, it has many other features and very large screen, a good feature also is that beside Windows Mobile, they claim that u can use their Sony Ericson SW w/o WinMo!

There is no doubt that the iPhone lacks many features. Features thet WinMo has. As for BSOD, well I can gaurantee you won't get any. Because, technically, Windows Mobile has nothing to do with any version of Windows, unlike iPhone's OSX. But it will hang, restart, and stall. This may be the main similarity between the two Windows. How can u "use their software"?

I remember i used a WinMo once, and the 1st 5 minutes it surprised me with that error msg saying "Send report", "Don't Send" !!!!! what kind of mobiles is this Well i dont remember where i read this, but they say it will be fully Java supported so u can use the usual SE software, if u saw the trailer, the guy shows 9 buttons on the screen, one of those buttons leads to WinMo default screen, and the other 8 buttons are SE software Another good feature is that Xperia will support A-GPS which is way to accurate than the usual GPS, the GPS error ranges between 1-3 meters and sometimes more, but A-GPS error is less than 1-meter BTW, what do u poeple think about Samsung Instinct they claim its an iPhone killer too, but it works on Sprint network only Each time i read (iPhone killer) i say wow Apple (the computer manufacturer) has set a new standard in the phone industry!!!!!

But Windows (PC & Mobile) are made in the US, and Symbian is made in Europe. Motorola made the RAZR, which by all logic should have been a cash cow. But it is struggling as a business in a whole. Amazing how the human mind works. I guess not all men are created equal. Last edited by Magnus : 19th May 2008 at 18:00. | |||||
