Blackberry 9000 Bold has been announced, has wifi, 3G, GPS, and more

Blackberry 9000, or Bold, has been announced by RIM (Research In Motion). Some may say it's too little too late, and it'll be interesting to see what Apple comes up with, but it seems that they've packed quite a number of features in the new 'berry:
  • 1GB on-board memory
  • Quad-band EDGE and tri-band HSDPA
  • 5 hours of talk time, 13 days of standby time.
  • 2MP camera which can record video, and a flash
  • GPS
  • WiFi (802.11b/g)
  • MicroSD/SDHC memory card slot
  • Half-VGA (480×320 resolution) color LCD
So then the question becomes, if the 9000 is 3G, will the unlimited Blackberry plans be unlimited 3G? If so, and the prices stay the same for the plans, that'll be amazing.

I've had problems using the free PocketMac but with Missing Sync it's always worked well for me. Missing Sync also syncs iPhoto and iTunes.

They're apparently creating a new app that will sync iTunes with Blackberry.

Thats great. I have always wanted to try a blackberry. While syncing do you also get all the custom fields you made in your addressbook (like say extra work fax) into the mobile (blackberry)?

I think the last time I tried this with a nokia, it would randomly at many times leave out the extra custom made fields in the addressbook.

I'm pretty sure you do get them as well, but I'm not 100%. I'll try to remember to test it.

I've been using the Curve for a while now and although it has its shortcomings, I've gotten quite used to it. I'm definitely looking forward to Bold as well as Firmware 2.0 update for the iPhone.

I've had the Curve for a while too now and I like it. Also looking forward to the 9000, but I wonder when the associated 3G dataplan will make it here, if ever.
