Guys, I still have a problem with Arabic.

Thanks to your advise, I purchased and downloaded Nisus Express.

It works fine, but it looks the instant spelling check correction doesn't work. I understand no Arabic dictionary or any other reference file that comes with Nisus. I have the feeling it doesn't come with Snow Leopard as well (though the MacBookPro has been purchased in the UAE).

Is there any third party software / file that will do the job?

Thanks again in advance for your precious help!

@pat17, Try NeoOffice or Open Office.

    You can download CocoAspell
You will have to download the Arabic dictionary from the site as well.

No idea if it works for Nisus.

The best solution for me was using iWorks. For some reason I can't use the Times New Roman font for the Arabic to come out correctly, otherwise it works beautifully on Pages, Keynote and Numbers.

iWork is a good soution for basic Arabic editing.
But for more complex jobs, it really is lacking.

Not sure to which extent it will help to write in Arabic, but Lion will be available in Arabic, together with three other new languages -

Apple - OS X Lion - Over 250 new features. Read about all of them.

I'm using Nisus since ages. Now on OS X 10.6.6. It is brilliant. Version 10.6.7 makes troubles with the Arabic. Don't use ist, but remain on 10.6.6!

I'm still waiting for the Coranic script for the Mac. And also in order to write
    صلى الله عليه وسلم
    رضي الله عنه

as it appears in printed books to day.
