Nisus for Arabic in Word?

Ahlan bikom,

I'm new to this group and must say I am happy to have found it. I managed, but struggled a bit, getting Safari to work with Arabic. Question now is how to get Word to work in Arabic. Do I just download Nisus? Does it work automatically or do I have to do something in addition? As a social scientist I hope you guys could help out...

Hi Lotta, welcome to EmiratesMac.

MS Word doesn't support Arabic.
Nisus supports Arabic perfectly, it is just a matter of adding more Arabic fonts for more options and Nisus will serve your needs. Surely I expect you have activated Arabic keyboard and Arabic language in Mac OSX System Preferences.

Hello, thanks for welcome.

Yes, Arabic is activated, it works fine. It's just Word that doesnt work, the usual problem, letters dont connect. I'll try and fix it and if I need any help I'll get back to you guys.

Many thanks for help. And, no Swedish group is required..

aha, so you have to pay for Nisus? Haven't checked it yet. I did download Open Office, but it seems one cant open those files in word.
