Not Sold on the New Apple TV
If they move to a streaming based format, that will most likely have a geo-tag on there based on our IP address, thus eliminating the ability to stream via ATV or Netflix or anything like that.
I'd just rather stick with downloading rental in 1080p using my account in the US and have it download here.

Was wondering about this actually. Will we still be able to buy movies and tv shows to our computer, then stream it via Apple TV?

Yes you can, but I would rather store content on the appe tv. Too bad they won't add airplay to the existing apple tv so i can stream from my ipad.

Even if it becomes a geo tag system then its fairly easy to get around this with a VPN, Im able to access Hulu this way no problems all though some times I have to change the access point as Hulu recognizes that I am using a vpn. I dont see any issue with your idea of streaming warlock however I am waiting to try out the new boxee box for streaming which should be out in the wild in November. Im still having issues with my apple TV not being recognized to sync with itunes, thought I soughted this out so have to say the Apple TV has been a disappointment. I like the interface and when it works its great however been a real pain when it does not sync. The saving grace being able to hack the apple tv Fire Core are saying on their web site that they plan on supporting the new Apple TV so I am curious with what they come up with. Using Plex on the apple mini though solves all your problems. Only problem I have had is playing 1080p just does not want to do it, so I was thinking of upgrading my ram on the mac mini.Whats exciting about Plex is that they have partnered with LG so next year you will have LG TV and Blue Ray Players with Plex capability built in. I use a LG Blue Ray Player at the moment for streaming so I am hoping this will be software upgradeable when the Plex media server comes out on LG products.

I've been playing with the new Apple TV for the past week with my Etisalat eLife connection and can report that there is no IP-based restrictions on purchasing/renting content, it works exactly the same way as the previous model where restrictions are based on which country your iTunes account is registered in.
