Found this rather strange. Was going through Apple's website for uae
Apple Authorised Distributor in Middle East - iPod + iTunes

the ipod n itunes section still says download itunes 8. Weird!!

That's not "Apple's web site", that's ABM's web site, their distributor. And that web site has pretty much always had something strange about it as long as I've known about it.

- It includes AppleCare link, but we can't buy it here (same with Genius Bar, One to One, etc)
- "Press info" page is so rich and full of stuff I'm amazed
- September '08 keynote?
- Way behind on the iPod shuffle models (showing 2nd gen)
- Apparently they're under the impression we can buy music and stuff from iTunes here
- etc...

I think it is just a copy/paste of an old Apple page.
With a few changes here and there.

In the same time if you opened ABM main site you will find it updated.

The strange part was i got directed from Apple's main website to that. I know its ABM's site.
One would think aplle would like all countires to be upto date. Guess it slipped them.

Hi Magnus, not sure if the is appropriate to discuss this under the strange items of ABM's site, but I saw Applecare being sold at Virgin Mega-Store, MOE...

It might not be relevant if you bought your unit elsewhere, but... it's available.

Thanks guys, that's interesting. I didn't think AppleCare could be sold here, afaik ABM doesn't distribute AppleCare.
