    Purchase from Apple Website

    Guys,
Just wanted to ask? Is it possible to purchase something from Apple US website and they deliver it to UAE?
If so usually how long does it take.
I do plan on purchasing a refurbished MacBook Air but not sure yet.
If as usual you would be kind to enlighten me on this aspect would greatly appreciate it.

What i've done is purchase via the Apple Online store then delivered via Shop & Ship.

It usually takes up to 2-3 weeks, including shipping from the Apple store.

You will have to remember that there is a 5% import tax on all items costing above $200. I havent tried buying major hardwares from the online store yet though.

Do let us know if you decide to import.

Am planning once i get all the facts ready and clear.
How do i direct the delivery via Shop & ship or does it happen automatically.
When you enter the zip code of UAE , the Apple sites already shows shipping charges??+ 5% import.
    Clarify plz!!

I boutght my MBP online from Apple US. I don't remember how much I paid for Tax, but guess it was as mikeyquema said "around 5%".

Total time was around a month till I got my MBP. Shipping inside the US was free

    How Shop & Ship works:
    - You create an account with Aramex S&S (pay one-time subscription fee)
    - Aramex create virtual addresses in the UK & US on your name
    - You use these addresses when you purchase anything online
    - Items get delivered to your 'virtual' address (which is Aramex office)
    - Items get shipped to your actual address in the UAE
    - On delivery, you pay AED39 for the first 0.5kg, and 30 for any additional 0.5kg

    It's that simple

With this I can't help. In my case the stuff (yes I bought many other stuff from apple with the MBP) were shipped to my friend's address in NY. He then shipped them to me.
At that stage I didn't have a S&S account, yet!
