    Odd Shipping Routes

    Hey guys!

I just wanted to share this surprising tid bit.

I decided to do my Christmas shopping early and had made a bunch of orders from the Online Apple Store in the states.

I just received the shipping confirmation and this is what it said:
    Date/Time Activity Location
3:18 PM In transit LANTAU ISLAND HK
12:12 PM Left FedEx origin facility SHENZHEN CN
6:11 AM Picked up SHENZHEN CN

The origin of the items is from China. So basically they ship it from China to the US then to Dubai.

This was a shock for me. I knew majority of Apple products are made in china, but i didnt know that their warehouse was based there as well.

Yes, that's how it is. It's fun following packages that way. Our MacBook and MacBook Pro went from China to Alaska, then onto their destination in the US.

More proof that the world is really really tiny these days. I see the fun in watching my items come from all over via Aramex's browser as well.
