Install Linux on intel Macs?

I know alternative operating systems can be installed on the up to date Macbook Pro laptops. Could you install Linux?

You should be able to, but I never tried it.
In fact you should be able to install it using any (or at least most) of the Windows options.

Did the wireless work Magnus? I know a few years ago the iBook's wireless card had no drivers to be supported in Linux

Yes it did. Not out of the box though, I had to download and install drivers, but there were simple instructions available for how to do that.
