Emirates Mac is a registered Apple User Group which we call EMUG (Emirates Mac User Group). You can verify our registration on Apple's site. EMUG is a non-profit community organization with activities in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

What is Emirates Mac User Group?

Emirates Mac is a non-profit Apple User Group, which was created to support Mac users in the United Arab Emirates and form a community that can offer help and support, and a nice place to get together with like-minded users.
In May 2006 the process began of registering Emirates Mac as an Apple User Group, and in September of that year Apple Computer Inc. in California, USA, accepted the application. Emirates Mac is now the only active Apple User Group in the Emirates listed on Apple's official User Group web site. The User Group's ultimate aims are:

• To establish and operate a community of users of Apple products in general and Mac computers in particular, that offers help and support to each other.
• To offer this help and support both online through a web site and offline at meetings and other activities.
• To educate the larger market about the benefits of Apple products in the hope of encouraging some customers switch to Apple.
• To help alleviate misinformation and miscommunication in the marketplace.

How do I become a member of EmiratesMac User Group?

To become a member you have to pay the annuNal AED150 membership fee. (See links below for how to pay.) Once we have your payment and your personal information we will prepare the membership card and mail it to you.

Does it cost anything to become a member?

Annual membership in EmiratesMac Apple Users Group is AED150.
You can pay the fee at an EMUG event or meeting or online via 2Checkout. For online payments you will be charged in USD.

What does Emirates Mac User Group do?

The main activity of the group is this web site, but also monthly meetings in Dubai. We also arrange various types of events ourselves or together with partners. Whether it's online or offline we want to provide help to those who need it and a community for all, where like-minded people can hang out.

When do we meet?

EMUG meets the last Saturday of every month at 16:00.

Where do we meet?

Our meetings are in Dubai. Currently the location for meetings is at the Wild Peeta Open Space at the Dubai World Trade Center, right next to the Trade Center Metro Station.
