Here are a few badges that I just created right quickly this morning. Please feel free to download and use them (or not). If you do place them on some other site, please make them link back to http://www.emiratesmac.com.
We would like to encourage all EmiratesMac-ers to show their creativity and come up with small graphics that we could put on other web sites. They would link back to this site and perhaps get some more people to EmiratesMac.
What I'm talking about is usually called "web badges". To get an idea of what I mean, have a look at Apple's badges.
Attached you will find a large version of the logo which you can use to create your artwork. Please don't change it too much since it is our "identity" and link to our homepage, i.e. http://www.emiratesmac.com.
If you create something you would like to share with others, post a message here and attach your artwork. Feel free to post links to pages you created which has your artwork on it.

I promise I'll do something soon, let me get through midterms!
That's very nice! Cool stuff ultrablue!
Good question. Apart from the smallest one (the 80x15) which is a GIF file, they are all PNG files.
I put them all together in a ZIP file and attached that to the post with all the pictures in it. If you download it and unzip it, you get them all in their original format.
Great! But I saved the logo with 80x15 in a folder and selected the folder/image as my Desktop background in Preferences. However, when the EmiratesMac logo appears on my desk top, it appears in 'broken' parts of the AppleWhat I mean is the whole Apple doesn't come on the desktop ; it comes in parts broken in the image
I'm not quite sure what you mean, but I wouldn't think the 80x15 is a good choice for a desktop background. It's only 80 pixels by 15 pixels so really, really tiny. In fact any of them are probably not good for backgrounds.
But that gives me a good idea, why don't we work on some desktop backgrounds?
Go for it![]()
I'm of course, not @ all good at these stuff
